Villafranca: combat and self-defence course concludes At the end of the course, Lieutenant Colonel Alessandro Di Muni, head of P.UMA.SS activities for the 3rd Wing, presented attendance certificates to the participants. Krav Maga is a close-quarters combat and self-defence system widely used by armed forces, military, and police departments across the globe. It was created thanks to the experience of Imi Lichtenfeld, an Israeli army officer skilled in Western fighting techniques, who was tasked with developing an effective yet rapidly learnable combat system to train the nascent Israeli special forces. The aim of Krav Maga is to neutralise an opponent, even when facing an armed adversary. Organised by P.UMA.S.S. as part of its sporting activities, falling under the operational training provisions of the Operations Office for the Wing's personnel, also with a view to “Deployable“, was held by an external Instructor “Black belt – 2nd Dan from the USA Federation – Krav Maga Alliance”and it is the second Krav Maga course to be held within the Wing, the first official edition after last year's demonstration.
