The first personalized prepaid card with the symbols and colors of the Air Force is born.
The initiative, the first of its kind in the field of Defence, is part of the implementation of Decree-Law No. 201/2011, which, in order to promote the modernization and efficiency of financial instruments, has introduced important new provisions regarding the “traceability of payments” and has made the use of electronic means such as the bank/postal current account, the postal book and prepaid cards mandatory for the payment of amounts exceeding 1,000 euros.
In this perspective, the Air Force, which has long provided its personnel with the payment of salaries and pensions through an agreement signed with Poste Italiane in 2010, has launched another action aimed at further reducing the already residual cash management by its administrative bodies, using the pre-paid electronic cards “Postepay Impresa”. This financial instrument will allow the payment of advances of funds owed to staff for administrative needs, in the event of missions and for small and urgent office expenses.
The “Postepay Impresa” card, the holder of which is solely the administrator who requests it, is free of charge for issuance and reloading made by the Administration through its ‘BancoPosta Impresa On Line’ account, and can be used, in complete safety and with total respect for privacy (since the transaction list will be accessible only to the holder), also to make private purchases, for which the usual reloading fees will obviously apply. It can also be used by the holder to access many of Poste Italiane’s commercial initiatives.
