Presenting Air Marshal Alberto Rosso as the Godfather of the Urano III Course It took place on Wednesday, 11 November, in the Theatre Hall of the’Air Force Academy in Pozzuoli, the individual oath-taking ceremony of 76 Second Lieutenants of the Urano V Course.
The’Air Force Academy It depends Air Force Schools Command / 3rd Air Region. It is a higher military education institute of a university nature tasked with recruiting and training young people aspiring to become officers in the Air Force. By attending the Regular Courses of the Academy, one can become a Second Lieutenant on a permanent active service basis in the Air Force, in the normal Navigating role (pilots) and in the Normal role of the Weapons Branch, Air Force Engineering, Air Force Commissariat Corps and Air Force Medical Corps. The Institute also runs courses for Officer Cadets (Reserve Pilots and Fixed-Term Service) and directly appointed Second Lieutenants (of both the Normal and Special Roles); finally, within the Academy's Study Plan, there are courses with an aeronautical specialisation, for foreign personnel and personnel from other Armed Forces.
