The 31st Wing of Ciampino hosted the celebrations in memory of Italo Balbo's "Trasvolatori" On the occasion of the anniversary of the 1933 North Atlantic Air Cruise, the 31st Wing of Ciampino, led by Colonel Dimitri Pasqualetti, celebrated the historic feat by organising a philatelic, photographic, and historical material exhibition, in collaboration with the Pioneers Association and the Atlantic Flyers Association. The 31st Wing carries out public utility missions every day, such as the emergency medical transport of seriously ill or injured patients, transplant organs, and medical teams, as well as interventions for compatriots in situations of risk. These activities require a high level of readiness; this is why the personnel and aircraft of the 31st Wing are ready to depart twenty-four hours a day, 365 days a year.
