General De Lorenzo succeeds General Iadicicco who left Pisa after three years in command of the 46th Air Brigade. The Air Brigade is a branch of the Air Force Command through the Support and Special Forces Command, which carries out a wide range of missions in the field of air transport, both of a purely military nature – with the participation in all Operational Theatres where the Italian Armed Forces are present – and in the civilian sector, in collaboration with other state agencies, as was the case during the Covid-19 emergency, or for humanitarian aid, evacuations of populations in difficulty or interventions in the event of natural disasters.
