The event took place at the Vigarano Pieve Oasis (Ferrara) in collaboration with the Air Operations Command of Poggio Renatico and the Ferrara AAA Association. The aim of the event was to allow the local population to gather in a festive environment and meet local institutions and all those—Armed Forces, State Armed Corps, and Volunteers—who supported citizens during the earthquake emergency. In fact, the 4th edition took place in the nature reserve that last year hosted 230 displaced children. The Air Operations Command (COA) of Poggio Renatico (Ferrara) contributed to the event through the presence, inside the park, of a promotional stand and an NH 500 helicopter from the 15th Wing of Cervia on static display. Throughout the festival, a flight simulator named ‘Celestino’, built by the Ferrara Section of the Air Force Association (AAA), “took children for a flight” and they also received a certificate of participation. All proceeds from the event will be donated to charity projects. The participation of the Italian Air Force in such activities underlines, once again, the care and solidarity that men and women in uniform demonstrate towards the community every day.
