An opportunity for secondary school students to experience first-hand the organizational dynamics of AM On Friday, March 29, at the 3rd Squadron in Villafranca, one of the “Pathways for Cross-Competence and Orientation (PCTO)” projects concluded, which took place between the 3rd Squadron and the “Carlo Anti” Technical Institute in Villafranca. Thirteen students, coming from the Villafranca Institute, were assigned to a tutor from the Italian Air Force who accompanied them through a program of activities designed according to the specific field of study and specialization of each student. In this way, the young descendants were able to appreciate a realistic view of the world of work and various production cycles, thanks to appropriate theoretical and practical teachings, alternated with visits to the various units of the 3rd Squadron and the execution of certain tasks. Two very intense weeks that allowed the students to attend the Solemn Flag-raising ceremony on the occasion of the ceremony organized on March 28 by the Command of the Verona Air Force and Air Guard to celebrate the 96th Anniversary of the Constitution of the AM, in the presence of institutional authorities from the province and representatives of the Combating Forces and Armed Forces Associations. The “paths for transversal skills and for orientation”, namely the project of the MIUR that replaced the analogous initiative known as the School-Work Alternance, represents a renewed example of collaboration that the 3rd Stormo officially launched a few years ago with the world of training and still represents a valuable instrument for integration and closeness to the community, in which the “four cats” department has been involved since 1954.
Located under the responsibility of the AM Logistics Support Service, the 3rd Air Wing operates in an inter-service, international and inter-agency context, both in training activities and in real operations, to ensure the technical and logistical support necessary to achieve the maximum operational efficiency of the AM. In particular, the Department ensures the “Operational Survival” and the “Logistical Support” capabilities for the units and mobile components of the Command and Control system deployed to operate outside their own premises, through the projection of airport logistics capabilities, autonomous, integrated and scalable, at the right time and in the required location.
