350 young cyclists competed between the facilities of the 15th Squadron in Cervia, for an event that demonstrates the closeness of the Cervia community to the personnel of the Air Force. The Commander of the 15th Squadron, Colonel Pilot Ludovico Chianese, greeted the enrolled young boys and their parents, who came to attend an event that over the years has become one of the most eagerly awaited by the men and women of the 15th Squadron.
Several rounds of young cyclists, classified in the various categories “G1–2–3–4–5–6” for both men and women, have taken place, competing for the trophy on a 1 km course consisting of a section of the access road and a section of the perimeter road in the northern part of the base, against the backdrop of the helicopters provided to the Department.

The greetings were joined by Dr. Gianni Grandu, Councilor of the Municipality of Cervia, whose presence, on behalf of the Mayor of the Romagnolo city of Cervia, gave greater luster to the initiative, a testament to the now established closeness that the Cervese community reserves for the personnel of the 15th Squadron.
The 15th Squadron, with its Flight Centers and Flight Groups, guarantees 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, the search and rescue of flight crews in difficulty, in addition to contributing to public utility activities such as the search for missing persons at sea or in the mountains, the emergency medical transport of those in danger of life, and the rescue of seriously traumatized people.
The 15th Squadron, since its inception to date, has saved about 7,000 people in danger of death.
