On Thursday 21st January, a series of meetings will begin in collaboration with the Trapani Traffic Police. The initiative was strongly supported by Colonel Bruno Strozza, Commander of the 37th Squadron in Trapani, with the aim of increasing staff awareness of safe driving and thus attempting to reduce the number of road accidents.
Thanks to the availability of Dr. Nicolò D’Angelo, Head of the Traffic Police of Trapani, a first meeting was therefore organized in the airport cinema room, during which information was provided on road accidentology and criminal aspects related to driving vehicles in the event of the consumption of narcotic substances.
In addition to projecting some videos on the sometimes tragic consequences of accidents caused by sleep driving, there was also discussion of violating speed limits and driving under the influence of alcohol, with an explanation, by the officers, of how the equipment provided to the Highway Police, such as the speed camera, the radar gun and the alcohol tester, work.
At the end of the morning, Stormoha staff witnessed some practical demonstrations of speed detection, and were given an explanation of the features of the vehicles provided to the Corps.
