Anyone wishing to report an event related to a fly-past or sonic boom from a military aircraft can do so using the forms available at the following Link. After filling it in, you will need to hand it in at your nearest Carabinieri station.

Following the wave of UFO sightings in 1978, the then Prime Minister Giulio Andreotti appointed the Air Force as the institutional body responsible for collecting, verifying, and monitoring UFO-related reports.

Under current regulations, Officers, Non-Commissioned Officers, Volunteers, and Enlisted Personnel on reserve status, meaning they are not bound by a permanent employment relationship with the Armed Forces but are nevertheless subject to legally regulated service obligations, can be part of the Reserve Forces. Personnel on absolute reserve, however, are excluded. The Air Force particularly focuses on professional skills that are not present within the Armed Forces, or that are present but require ’completion“. The interest of the Armed Forces extends to a multiplicity of professional profiles, including, to name a few:

  • journalists with previous experience in the aeronautical field or as war reporters in military operations, including those abroad, and professionals and experts in the field of communication;
  • Interpreters of “prestigious” languages, with in-depth knowledge of cultures of interest;
  • Infrastructure engineers, experts in airport systems and civil engineering.;
  • doctors specialising in medical and surgical branches (anaesthesia, resuscitation, orthopaedics, traumatology, by way of example only);
  • Legal consultants and experts in international, humanitarian, and community law.
    Other professional profiles, present or not in A.M., can be identified for particular needs within the scope of operational, training and support activities abroad or within the national territory.
    Staff may only be employed after successfully completing the training period and obtaining medical fitness to work on Out-of-Area Operations (OFCN).
    For interested citizens, the application for appointment as an Officer of the Italian Air Force, pursuant to Article 674 of the COM (Legislative Decree 15/03/2010 n.66), must be duly completed and sent to the addresses indicated therein and can be downloaded at the following Link

The Ministry of Defence, in pursuing a policy aimed at improving the quality of services provided to the community, Consider The assessments expressed by citizens and users are fundamental.

Using the following questionnaire, drawn up pursuant to Article 19b of Legislative Decree 150/2009 (as amended by Legislative Decree 74/2017), citizens and other end-users have the opportunity to communicate to the Ministry of Defence, or to the Independent Evaluation Body of performance (OIV) of the Dicastery, their Level of satisfaction with the activities and services provided by the Defence sector. the contents of the Ministerial Decree (Defence) titled “Service Quality Standards Provided”(contd.“Service charter“), thus contributing to the measurement process performance produced by the relevant organisational unit.

The questionnaire includes, among other things, a field note, within which you will be able express any eventual osservazione/suggerimento useful for improving the quality and characteristics of the service provided.
