On 9 and 10 April, marksmen from the Air Force, coming from units across Italy, competed at the airport sports facility
The competition forms part of the sports events promoted by the Italian Air Force, also in light of the ever-growing importance of military sport and its fundamental role in driving the entire national sports movement. In a hard-fought competition, serving and retired athletes from all categories faced off against each other. Among them are athletes with established international reputations, such as Lieutenant Colonel Massimo Croce, who won two gold medals at the 2013 CISM Military International Tournament, and Warrant Officer Salvatore Valentini, who took gold at the 2011 Compak World Championship.
The winner award ceremony was held on Thursday 10 April. First overall with an excellent technical performance was First Marshal Salvatore Semeraro – 2nd Missile Maintenance Department, Padua, with a score of 110 out of 125. Among the teams, the Logistics Command prevailed. Coming in second place was the Air Squad Command, followed by the Schools Command.
