Fighter aircraft, cantilever high-wing monoplane, twin-engine, two-seat in tandem, all-metal construction.
The Ba.88 was a twin-engine version of the Ba.75 reconnaissance aircraft, retaining its wing plan and single-fin tail. The prototype first flew in October 1936.
In 1939, after various improvements, five Ba.88s were delivered to the 76th Air Brigade at Lonate Pozzolo.
They were requisitioned by the Germans and sent for late demolition.
