Biplane, single-engine, two-seater or single-seater (A.9Bis), for training and aerobatics, with an entirely wooden structure covered in fabric, except for the metal covering of the cockpits.
It was fitted with a 260 hp Isotta-Fraschini “Asso 200” engine.
In total, 60 aircraft were produced, of which 43 were military aircraft intended to replace the SVAs of the Flying School of the Royal Aeronautical Academy.
The A.9s remained in use until 1934.
