Production for Italy in 1949 was 166 aircraft, many of which were produced by Fiat.
From March 1950, several of these examples were assigned to Amendola.
With this aircraft, the first official post-war aerobatic team was subsequently formed, named “Cavallino rampante”, made up of four “Vampires” who performed a programme of about thirty minutes.
The line output occurred in 1959.
A composite aircraft is on display at Amendola as a “gate guardian”.
