Destined for widespread distribution and immense popularity, the Ca.100, universally known as the “Caproncino”, did not, however, achieve immediate success.

Sturdy, versatile, easy to fly and with modest fuel consumption, the Caproncino was a biplane with an entirely wooden fuselage and plywood skinning that could be adapted to a wide variety of uses and engines.

It remained in use well beyond the Second World War.
