Italian Air Force Centenary: A Frecciarossa dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Italian Air Force.

“Italian excellence towards the future” are the words that can be read on the special livery presented in Rome Termini on the Frecciarossa 1000, which will travel throughout the national territory over the next two months.

This afternoon, at platform 1 of the Termini station in Rome, the presentation of the new Frecciarossa livery for the Centenary of the Aeronautica Militare took place in the presence of the CEO of Trenitalia, Luigi Corradi, and Air Force General Aurelio Colagrande. Deputy Chief of Staff of the Air Force, and other military authorities.

“It is an honor to be together with the Air Force” – said Luigi Corradi – to celebrate their centenary. ”We are two institutions that work for the country with different missions of transport and defense.“ We have much in common in terms of innovation and research. For the design of this Frecciarossa we were also able to rely on the choice of materials already tested in aviation.

“It is a great pleasure to be here to pay tribute to Trenitalia, which has given us the opportunity to celebrate together one of the numerous events planned for our centenary”… emphasized General Colagrande. Trenitalia and the Air Force have many things in common, including the values of safety and sustainability of our vehicles and the teamwork that allows us to be efficient, fast and precise. ”Having a mass transportation means like the train with our image…” continued the Deputy Chief of Staff of the Air Force, ”represents an opportunity to celebrate this important anniversary together with those who have allowed us to be an Armed Force at the service of the people, by the people and for the people.”.
