With reference to the interview with the Chief of Staff of the Italian Air Force, Lieutenant General Pasquale Preziosa, published today in the newspaper “Libero”, the Armed Force wishes to emphasise, while confirming its contents, that the clearly misleading headline does not reflect the General's views or the current commitment of the Air Force.

Aircraft assets have been operating from Kuwait since October 2014 exclusively over Iraqi skies within the international anti-ISIS (Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant) coalition, as part of Operation “Prima Parthica” on air-to-air refuelling and Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance missions.
