Colonel Cristiano Realacci is the new Director of the 1st Aircraft Maintenance Department.
Wednesday 07 September 2022, at the 1st Aircraft Maintenance Department of Cameri, The ceremony for the change of command took place between Colonel Danilo Figà, outgoing Director, and Colonel Cristiano Realacci, incoming Director.
The handover ceremony was presided over by the Commander of the 2nd Division of the Logistic Command, Brigadier General Cristiano Bandini, in the presence of local authorities, Armed Forces Associations and attending guests.

Then spoke the Colonel Realacci, having thanked the superior authorities for the trust placed in him, he then addressed the guests present. During his speech, addressing the staff of the Department, he stated: “You are the most important resource I will have during my command, with your professional competence and wealth of knowledge you constitute the real competitive advantage, the true driving force for achieving future goals with maximum effectiveness.
It Brigadier General Cristiano Bandini, during his speech, he offered a brief greeting to the guests who attended and thanked the outgoing director for the effort made over these two years and for the brilliant results achieved despite the effects of Brexit on Supply Chain of the Tornado and Typhoon weapon systems and the pandemic crisis. Then, addressing the personnel of the 1st R.M.V., he wished to emphasize: “You were the orchestra that, thanks to its conductor, managed to play as one great instrument, developing a climate of constructive industriousness and achieving absolutely ambitious goals, such as the production of 14,000 flight hours for the line. The 1st Aircraft Maintenance Department it was established on the airport site of Cameri on 1 November 1981, he was placed under the service of 2nd Logistic Command Division. It represents the main engineering, maintenance, and logistics hub for the Italian Air Force's high-performance “fast jet” aircraft.
