It 05 June 2026, the 36th Fighter Wing will organise a simple celebration to mark the 60th anniversary of its formation at the airbase of Gioia del Colle (BA). The event will involve civil and military authorities, retired personnel, and veterans' associations, and will include the following activities:
– solemn flag-raising ceremony;
– Presentation of a commemorative brochure;
– Discovery of the F-2000 Special Colour aircraft dedicated to the event;
– convivial moment;
– Airport base visit, themed exhibition, historical and aeronautical memorabilia, philatelic collecting and dedicated postmark, model aircraft, hot air ballooning, car club, motorcycle club, flight simulator and stand with exclusive gadget exhibition.

The celebratory event for the 60th anniversary of the establishment of the 36th Fighter Wing, scheduled for Friday, 05 June 2026, at Gioia del Colle Airport, will take place throughout the morning and early afternoon according to a plan designed to relive the history of one of the most glorious traditional Squadrons of the Italian Air Force. Arrivals will be between 07:30 and 08:30, with guests being directed to specially identified and signposted parking areas as shown on the map. Entry will be via QR code to ensure speed and efficiency during access procedures.
Subsequently, the day's programme will include the following events:
09:30 Solemn Flag Raising Ceremony with wreath-laying in honour of the fallen at Piazzale Bandiera
10:00 Opening of the exhibition area at piazzale Alpha (Shelters 6 – 7), collection of rally kits and lunch tickets
10:30 Presentation of the editorial project “60 Years of Stories” at Hangar 2
11:00 Opening of the exhibition area with themed stands dedicated to historical and aeronautical memorabilia, philatelic collecting and special postmark, model aircraft, hot air ballooning, car clubs, motorcycle clubs, flight simulator, gadgets and objets d'art (Shelters 6 – 7 and Hangar 1)
