Flight hospital from Cagliari to Milan

On Monday 4th October, a 54-year-old patient was transferred via a Falcon 900 from the 31st Wing to the ‘Monzino’ Cardiology Centre in Milan. The transport request, which was necessary to guarantee the patient immediate specialist medical care, was sent by the hospital to the Prefecture of Cagliari. It was received by the Aeronautical Staff Command’s Situation Room, which ordered the flight to be carried out. The aircraft, a Falcon 900 from the 31st Wing of Ciampino (Rome), landed at the ‘Mario Mameli’ airport in Elmas-Cagliari at 12:00 local time and departed 40 minutes later, after boarding operations, bound for Linate airport (Milan) where
He arrived after approximately an hour's flight. Upon arrival at the Lombardy airport, the patient was subsequently transported by ambulance to the ‘Monzino’ Cardiology Centre.
