On Wednesday, 3rd February, Air Force General Tei, formerly Commander of the Trapani Wing, bid a nostalgic farewell to the base personnel. The return to Trapani was a trip down memory lane for General Tei, more than twenty years after he held the position of Wing Commander. It was also an opportunity to greet the personnel of one of the Squadrons that guarantees daily surveillance of national airspace. General Tei was received by Colonel Bruno Strozza, Wing Commander, and was escorted to the operational area, where the Chief of Staff participated in the training flights of the 10th and 18th Fighter Squadrons aboard an F-16B, piloted by Lieutenant Colonel Salvatore Ferrara, Commander of the 10th Squadron. During his meeting with the Base personnel, General Tei spoke nostalgically of the period he spent commanding the Wing, recalling the difficulties overcome but, above all, the professional achievements and the strong human relationships that had been forged.
