The plenary session’s proceedings were opened on Tuesday 26 January by the Chief of Staff of the Air Force, Gen. S.A. Tei. The opening of the proceedings was welcomed by the Chief of Staff of the Air Force, Air Chief Marshal Daniele Tei, who, in his welcoming speech, thanked the School for hosting such an important event. He also highlighted the importance of the topics on the agenda, stressing that they are keenly felt by all military personnel and that he himself, in his various roles, particularly as Director of the Directorate for the Employment of Air Force Military Personnel, had shared and sought to contribute to resolving them. General Tei expressed his hope that the issues that have remained unresolved for years, such as career reform, contract renewal, and accommodation, could be realised and brought to completion. He emphasised that “in difficult moments, like the one we are going through, the only sure resource that can always be relied upon is constituted by the men and women of the Air Force”.
The Chief of Staff's address concluded with a visit to the facilities of the new Multipurpose Centre, which houses most of the rooms and activities responsible for training the cadets and attendees of the various courses.
