On 7 and 8 June, the Defence Attaché accredited to Iceland closely followed the exercise at Keflavik involving Air Force and Navy personnel.
General Pintus, along with high-ranking representatives of the Icelandic Government, carried out a visit to the deployed Units at Keflavik civilian airport. On Tuesday the 7th, the delegation attended an explanatory briefing on the activities underway for the exercise, while on Wednesday the 8th, the delegation visited the maintenance hangars and the Control and Reporting Centre (CRC). The visit concluded after witnessing the take-offs of Eurofighter, F-16, DA 20, and KC-130J aircraft. The Icelandic Authorities expressed much appreciation for the Nations participating in the exercise. General Pintus emphasised how “training in a perfectly integrated manner with multinational air and naval assets, particularly with the Iceland Coast Guard, accustomed to operating in extreme climatic conditions, is an opportunity for growth towards ever greater integration”.
