On Thursday, 8 July, the collective oath of the new athletes from the VFP1 (Fixed-Term Volunteers of 1 year) competition. The athletes involved are Airman Elisa Vardaro, fencing specialising in foil, Airman Giovanni Mantovani, athletics 110-metre hurdles, Airman Fabio Bortolotti, athletics 800 metres, and Airman Beatrice Borin, equestrian eventing. The act of pledging loyalty to the Fatherland and its institutions was carried out at the end of two weeks in which the athletes followed a training and instruction period at Vigna di Valle Airport.
