From Monday 21st to Friday 25th February, 19 Officers from the four Armed Forces visited Riyadh. The Italian delegation was received at the Royal Staff College and the Royal Land Forces Headquarters. They were also given the opportunity to undertake some cultural visits of particular interest, such as the King Abdulaziz Museum, which showcases the tradition of Arab civilisation and Islamic culture.
The visit, planned under the Cooperation Agreement signed between Italy and Saudi Arabia, took place in an atmosphere of great cordiality and mutual openness, strengthening the already solid relations between the two countries, and once again highlighting the great sense of hospitality and welcome of the Saudis. Before returning to Italy, the delegation met the Italian Ambassador in Riyadh, Dr Valentino Simonetti, who stressed the importance of consolidating the national presence in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, also through cooperation between the two Armed Forces.
