On the day of National Unity and the Armed Forces Day, the A.M. Foreign Languages School was also open to the public. On this occasion, visitors were welcomed to the teaching facilities and the auditorium, where they were able to watch films about the Air Force and admire aeronautical material displayed in the atrium of the building.
The exhibition ’The Air Force and Loreto: Paths of History“ was also visited at Villa Bonci, the historic 19th-century residence within SLEAM that belonged to tenor Alessandro Bonci. The exhibition aims to highlight the rooms of this prestigious residence, the initial headquarters of the National Opera of the Sons of Aviators, where it is possible to visit the places that for over 50 years, starting in 1930, have hosted many children and young orphans of aeronautical personnel. The many historical photographs on display, also available for the public interested in attending, allow visitors to relive and trace many events and moments in the life of the city of Loreto and the Air Force in the Marche region.
The SLEAM open day was held alongside other inter-departmental initiatives promoted at the regional level by the General Staff of the Defense, which, on the occasion of the celebrations on November 4, also included the participation of School Officers in a series of conferences at various educational institutions in the region, as well as in some historical and religious commemorations held in the provinces of Ancona and Macerata.
