The new edition of the Aeronautical Chart of Italy (ICAO-CAI) introduces important new features.
The letter will introduce some important changes in the representation of aeronautical information and the elements of the geographic database.
These variations were made essential to align the chart with the decisions taken within the ICAO Harmonisation Focus Group, a working group of EUROCONTROL aimed at harmonising chart production at a European level.
The Aeronautical Chart of Italy, produced at a scale of 1:500,000 and updated annually, is created for civilian users to support visual flight activities over Italian territory, i.e. for low and medium altitude navigation.
