A Falcon 900 of the 31st Wing brought back to our homeland a fellow countryman who was seriously ill
The aircraft, which departed from Ciampino at 10:00, after having boarded a medical team composed of a doctor and two nurses from the San Giovanni Hospital in Rome to provide assistance on board the patient, took off towards the military base in Kabul, where our compatriot was hospitalized at the “Kaia – Role 3” hospital facility.
Arriving at Ciampino at 23:45, the patient, who was always being accompanied by the medical team, was immediately transferred, on board an ambulance, to the Roman hospital.
The aircraft of the 31st Ciampino Squadron are used for state transport and for public utility missions, such as the emergency medical transport of sick people, severely injured people, and organs for transplantation, as well as for interventions in favor of people in any other situation of risk. Given the imminent danger to the lives of the people transported, this latter activity requires a level of readiness, twenty-four hours a day, 365 days a year.
