The Air Safety Oversight Agency has launched the third cycle of the “Organizational Safety Effectiveness Survey” The OSES is a survey system developed for complex organizations, such as the Air Force, which are exposed to a high level of risk and aim to improve prevention activities within the “human factor”and the effectiveness of the risk management process associated with flight operations. The flight crews in service both at the Flight Departments and at the High Commands, Intermediate Commands and Central Entities complete an anonymous questionnaire containing about 70 questions. This survey will allow to obtain a detailed statistical picture regarding the aviation safety level of the Air Force and to obtain, in this way, a valuable management tool capable of providing specific cognitive elements useful for possible corrective interventions in the field of Flight Safety and, consequently, at all decision-making levels of the organization.’.
