The students of the 15th course “Sirrush” Specialization Airspace Control – Air Defense got a first-hand experience of the reality of the Licola Department. Afterwards, the students visited the operations room, where they were able to directly explore the operational reality of the Air Force, witnessing in concrete terms the Air Defense activities and interacting directly with the personnel already qualified.
The students expressed their appreciation for the visit, which allowed them to experience first-hand a reality that had so far been perceived only at a theoretical level, in preparation for the future professional career that will see them engaged in numerous and complex specialist and enabling training courses before they can be put to work in person in the command and control chain of the Air Defense.
The 22nd Gr.R.A.M. of Licola (NA) is part of the system with which the Air Force ensures the surveillance and defense of the national airspace 365 days a year, 24 hours a day, as part of an integrated defense system, even during peacetime, in conjunction with that of the other countries belonging to NATO.
