The Air Squadron Commander met with the Commanders at the “F. Baracca” military airport in Centocelle (Rome).
The meeting, chaired by the Commander of the Air Force Command, Air Marshal Maurizio Lodovisi, was attended by the Deputy Commander of the Air Force Command, the Chief of Staff of the Air Force Command, the Commander of the Air Operations Command (COA), the Commander of the Combat Forces Command (CFC), the Commander of the Mobility and Support Forces Command (CFMS) and the 1st Special Operations Air Brigade (1st BAOS), as well as all the heads of the peripheral Commands down to Wing level.
The “Commanders' Report”It is a highly anticipated and significant moment, given that on this occasion, the respective financial statements of the main training/operational activities carried out are presented, highlighting any critical issues encountered in the performance of assigned institutional tasks and an overview of future objectives.
During the meeting, General Lodovisi elaborated on the restructuring of the Air Squad Command, the final structure of which is planned for 2016 and is already underway. This process closely involves the organisational structure of the High Command and some dependent bodies/departments, as well as the personnel employed. In particular, General Lodovisi wished to highlight that [...] In a complex organisation like ours, it is necessary to improve the efficiency of structures and procedures, intelligently rationalising the resources available, with the utmost attention directed towards the personnel who make all this possible. This absolute, priority necessity for the entire Armed Force has, in fact, been underway for some time and involves concentrating, at a central level, all those professional capabilities available within a High Command capable of enriching and easily integrating with those already at the disposal of the Air Staff. Furthermore, it is necessary to implement the maintenance synergy of the assets and equipment with which the Units dependent on the C.S.A. are equipped, with the Entities of the A.M. Logistic Command, in accordance with the policy guidelines of the Armed Force.”.
The works concluded with a welcoming address from General Lodovisi, who encouraged those present to continue to operate with the utmost commitment in their command role at all levels, in order to enhance the assigned resources.
