The meeting of the Commanders of the Departments under the command of the Air Force Squadrons took place at the military airport “F. Baracca” in Centocelle (Rome). On September 17 and 18, the meeting of the Commanders of the Departments under the command of the Air Force Squadrons was held, chaired by Air Force General Tiziano Tosi, Commander of the Air Force Squadrons (C.S.A.), and attended by Air Force General Maurizio Lodovisi, who will take up the position of Commander of the Air Force Squadrons starting from September 20. The Deputy Commander of the C.S.A., the Chief of Staff of the C.S.A., the Commander of the Command of Combat Forces, the Commander of the Command of Mobility and Support and the 1st Air Brigade Special Operations, as well as all the top leaders of the peripheral Commands up to the level of Stormo.
The “Commanders” Report” is a very much awaited and well-received document, given that in this occasion the balance sheets of the training/operational activities carried out during the year by the C.S.A. Departments are presented, any criticalities encountered in the performance of the assigned institutional tasks are outlined, and an overview of future objectives is provided. During the working meeting, some briefings were presented by the C.S.A. General Staff regarding topics of common interest, and several issues related to personnel training and the organization of units for the next biennium were addressed. In particular, among other things, the activities that will lead to the certification of the JFACC (Joint Force Air Component Command) at the national and NATO levels were highlighted, as well as the logistical and operational requirements of the various units deployed to the C.S.A. Flight Departments. The work concluded with a message of appreciation from the Commander-in-Chief, who, after expressing his appreciation for the results achieved and the team spirit amply demonstrated, invited those present to continue to work with the utmost commitment in their command activities at all levels, in order to enhance the resources assigned by the Armed Forces.
