The handover ceremony for the Italian National Contingent Command Air – Task Force Air Kuwait (IT NCC AIR – TFA Kuwait), with which the Italian Air Force is engaged as part of Operation Prima Parthica/Inherent Resolve, took place on 14 October at Ali Al Salem Air Base, Kuwait. During the event, Colonel Fabio Bergamini He passed the baton to his peer Marco Mangini.
At the ceremony, presided over by the Head of Planning and Exercises Department of the Joint Operations Command (COVI), Major General Nicola Piasente, took part the Italian Ambassador to Kuwait, Lorenzo Morini, and a representation of the local civil and military authorities.
In his speech, General Piasente highlighted the achievements of National contingent, highlighting the professionalism and teamwork that characterise the staff's work.
Colonel Bergamini thanked the Contingent for the dedication, sense of duty, cohesion and level of preparedness demonstrated in ensuring security in the sensitive area of responsibility. As he took over, Colonel Mangini guaranteed his commitment to continuing the activities with a spirit of service, in the spirit of continuity and responsibility.
