A dual aerial operation by the Air Force has enabled the urgent transport of two people in mortal danger. Yesterday, at the request of the Prefectures of Catanzaro and Perugia, two separate aircraft from the 31st Wing of Ciampino were deployed on two separate medical transport missions.

The first transport involved a 5-year-old child in imminent danger to life. On the request of the Prefecture of Catanzaro, a Falcon 900 took off from Lamezia Terme airport bound for Genoa. The second mission, requested by the Prefecture of Perugia, involved a 47-year-old woman who required an urgent transfer from the Umbrian hospital to one in Brindisi.
