The Association “Heart and Hands Open to Those in Need” visited the base in Salento during a brief visit. During the short visit, twelve children from the “Bimbulanza” service, accompanied by their families, after attending the Mass officiated by the military chaplain of the 61st Air Wing, Don Fabio Villani, visited the logistical, operational and maintenance facilities of the Salento airport, which is increasingly engaged in a gradual process of internationalization.
The event, which is part of the already established solidarity project called “Cuore con le Ali” (Heart with Wings), which brings together all the personnel of the Galatina Base in a series of charitable initiatives, is part of the various activities that the Salento Department carries out in support of the community and represents another way to demonstrate the military community’s closeness to anyone in need.
