On Tuesday 4 May, the French Armament Directorate visited some units of the 1st Division of the COMLOG. The program of the visit, after the welcoming words of the Air Division General Fabrizio Draghi, Commander of the CSV, continued with a film on the Center and its numerous research and experimental activities. The day concluded with an in-depth visit to the Experimental Flight Department where the tasks and activities of the department were presented, with particular emphasis on the management of operational software and telemetric systems; the visit ended with an illustration of the activities of the Department of Aerospace and Medical Aeronautics. The CSV, the 1st Division of the Military Logistics Command of the Air Force, brings together all the study and testing bodies of the Armed Forces under a single command. The entity is structured into four departments: the Flight Experimental Department, the Chemical Department, the Armament Department and the Aeronautical and Space Medicine Department, nothwithstanding the Inter-Service Polygon of the Jump of Perdasdefogu. It is the only entity of the Italian Armed Forces dedicated to conducting ground and flight testing activities, providing the technical evidence necessary for the operational certification of systems and onboard weapons. The CSV has obtained the ISO 9000 quality certification.
