From 15 to 30 September, Air Force (AM) components took part in the Combined Joint Personnel Recovery Standardisation Course. On this occasion, fixed-wing and rotary-wing aircraft and personnel from the member nations of the European Air Group (EAG) and other partner countries (Canada, Czech Republic, USA and Sweden) participated in the Course, including a multinational component (Italy, Netherlands and United Kingdom) for Forward Arming and Refuelling Point (FARP) operations. Of particular note was the contribution of the Air Force with flight assets (2 AM-X fighters from the 51st Wing of Istrana, 2 HH-3F helicopters from the 15th Wing CSAR of Pratica di Mare and 2 AB-212 helicopters from the 9th Wing of Grazzanise) and personnel from various operational units of the Armed Force. On Monday 27 September, the ‘Distinguished Visitors Day’ took place, which was attended by Air Squadra Generale Mario Renzo Ottone, Commander of the COA/CAOC5 of Poggio Renatico (Ferrara), accompanied by Air Brigade Generale Fernando Giancotti, Defence Attaché at the Italian Embassy in Berlin.
