The Chief of Staff of ITA NRDC was received by General Zuliani. The purpose of the visit was to deepen mutual knowledge between the Commands and develop synergies for the enhancement of operational capabilities, within the framework of the NATO Force Structure (NFS). Upon his arrival in Poggio Renatico, General Castellano was received by Air Squad General Mirco Zuliani, Commander of the COA/CAOC5/DACCC, who presented the guest with the Unit's Crest.
Subsequently, the activity continued at the Operations Preparation Department (RPO), where Air Brigadier General Paolo Mazzi illustrated the functions of the Air Operation Training Centre (IT-AOTC), whose mission is to qualify and prepare Armed Forces personnel to operate within a Command and Control structure for the planning, conduct and support of Air Operations in multinational (NATO, EU, UN, COALITIONS) and national contexts. Following this, the functions of the Core JFACC (Joint Force Air Component Command) were presented to General Castellano, which operates as the central nucleus for the establishment of an Air Component Command for specific national and/or multinational operations, exercises and operational simulations. Finally, the main scheduled training activities were compared in order to highlight the various areas of potential collaboration. Upon leaving the Poggio Renatico Base, General Castellano thanked General Zuliani for the hospitality received and expressed words of appreciation for the commitment and professionalism demonstrated by the personnel.
