Brigadier General Pograjc was received by Colonel Palmieri, accompanied by the Italian National Representative, Colonel Salvatore Carta. Brigadier General Pograjc was received by the Commander of the A.M.I.Ko. Airport, Colonel Michele Palmieri, at the “Sala Azzurra”, where he participated in a briefing on the operational capabilities of the airport and on the organization of the Air Task Force.
In particular, during the briefing, the capabilities of the aircraft handling and the support that the Department can provide to the Italian contingent in Kosovo were illustrated. Within the framework of Operation “Joint Enterprise” in Kosovo, the Air Task Force operates under the command of the Multinational Battle Group West, ensuring the functionality of the AMIKo airport in order to contribute to the logistical support of the national contingent, as well as ensuring the support for the flight operations of military aircraft, both national and non-national, deployed in the Balkan theater of operations.
