General Tiziano Tosi, Commander of the Air Force, together with Colonel Stefano Tessaro and Major Jan Slangen, who respectively head the 2nd Air Wing and the 313th Air Group, welcomed the Admiral. The visit provided the opportunity for Admiral Binelli Mantelli to get a closer look at the activities carried out by the Air Force at the Friuli airport, which has its key points in managing the missile component of the Air Force’s air defense and in the flight operations of the National Acrobatics Patrol. Addressing the personnel of the Wings, the Chief of Staff of the Defense stated that the Group is the result of a long Italian acrobatic tradition that must not be erased even by virtue of the considerable experience acquired during the time spent at the P.A.N.
After signing the honor rolls of the two Departments, the Chief of the General Staff of the Defense personally visited a “Spada” missile battery located at the Airport.
