On Thursday 24 February, the AM Specialist School held an information and promotion campaign on the culture of blood donation and organ donation. The opening of the proceedings was given by Colonel Paolo Marco Felli, Commander of the Specialist School, who greeted the authorities and guests who had attended the cinema hall, thanking the organizers of the campaign for choosing the Institute as the venue for such an important information and donation initiative. Next, Brigadier General Domenico Cioffi, Head of the Office of the Directorate and Coordination of the Military Transfusion Service, presented the role and activities of the Military Transfusion Service. Subsequently, Dr. Cataldo Bongerminio, Deputy General Director of Military Health, Dr. Giuliano Grazzini, Director of the National Blood Centre, Dr. Alessandro Nanni Costa, Director of the National Transplant Centre, and Dr. Alessandro Sanna, Director of the National Centre for Research and Development of Blood and Plasma, spoke. During the works, the manifesto ‘Campaign for the donation of blood, organs, tissues and cells’ was presented and the Autoemoteca provided to the Military Transfusion Center in Taranto was visited. At the end of the works, Colonel Felli greeted the authorities present and concluded by emphasizing that the men and women with the stars, who will be employed in the various Departments in Italy from the School, will certainly contribute to spreading the culture of donation and solidarity.
