A Falcon 900 Easy transported 30 bags of blood from Rivolto to Capodichino
A Falcon 900 Easy of the 31st Wing of Ciampino (RM) took off at 15:15 bound for Rivolto (UD) to collect 30 blood bags from the Transfusion Centre of the “Santa Maria della Misericordia” hospital in Udine. Subsequently, the military aircraft took off for Capodichino (NA), where it landed at 17:50, to deliver the bags to a medical team who proceeded to transport them to the Transfusion Centre of the Colli hospital in Naples. The mission concluded at 18:50, when the aircraft returned to Ciampino. The aircraft of the 31st Wing of Ciampino are used for state transport and public utility missions, such as emergency medical transport of the sick, severely traumatised patients and organs for transplants, as well as for interventions in favour of people in risky situations. This latter activity, given the imminent danger to the lives of the people transported, requires a level of readiness, twenty-four hours a day, 365 days a year.
