At the European Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships in Bremen, Germany, from 15 to 18 April, the A.M. athletes won 2 silver and 1 bronze medals
The female athletes of the Vigna di Valle (Rome) Air Force Sports Centre achieved third place in the five hoops behind Belarus, by a mere 25 thousandths of a point, and behind a ‘stratospheric’ Russia. The silver medals, however, came from the group all-around and the final with the three ribbons and two ropes, in which the Italian team placed second on both occasions behind Russia and ahead of Belarus. 1st Airman Elisa Santoni, 1st Airman Elisa Blanchi, Lance Airman Daniela Masseroni and Lance Airman Angelica Savrayuk, with Giulia Galtarossa (Ardor Padova) and Romina Laurito (Virtus Gallarate), secured the 5th European Championship silver medal with ribbons and ropes in the history of the Italian National Team, whilst the bronze in the hoops is the 7th continental one.
