General Bertolini visited the Army Group deployed at the COA in support of the populations affected by the earthquake. Upon his arrival, General Bertolini was received by Air Squadron Commander General Mirco Zuliani, Commander of the COA and of the CAOC5, in the presence of Colonel Giuseppe Levato, Deputy Operational Commander of the 1st F.O.D. (Operational Forces of Defense) of Vittorio Veneto, and Colonel Salvatore Tumminia, Commander of the Intervention Group.
Subsequently, the COI Commander visited the Group, composed of about 300 men, which since May 29 has been deployed in Poggio Renatico, thanks to the logistical support provided by the military and civilian personnel of the Air Force Base, to provide support to the populations of Emilia affected by the earthquake. General Bertolini, after receiving the Department Crest from General Zuliani, signed the Honor Roll writing: “with the warmest compliments for the magnificent operational reality you represent and with the greatest gratitude for the support provided to the ‘Una Acies’ operation’ ”.
