From September 11 to 19, within the campagnese fair, the participation of the Armed Forces and SGD (Air Force) represented by the AM/3rd Air Region Command in Bari and the 16th ’Protection of Forces‘ Squadron in Martina Franca (Taranto) will meet and will meet the families, young people and all the fair visitors until September 19, providing them with information on military life and recruitment.
The first visitor to the institutional stand was Air Force General Pasquale Preziosa, Commander of the AM Schools 3rd Air Region, together with Army General Francesco Tarricone, Commander of the 2nd FOD of Naples, and Army General Maurizio Scoppa, Commander of the Interregional Command ‘Ogaden’ of Naples.
In the area in front of the Pavilion, a gazebo was set up where Colonel Paolo Citta, Commander of the 16th Wing, explained to the attending authorities the operation and use of the remote-controlled aircraft ‘STRIX’, the canine units of the Wing dedicated to the search for explosives, as well as the VTLM (LINCE) provided to the Air Riflemen and the equipment/instruments used by personnel in missions outside national borders.
Inside the pavilion, the staff of the Schools Command of the AM/3rd Air Region answered numerous questions from visitors and distributed gadgets and promotional material. Many families and young people were enthusiastic about being able to interact with the staff of the Italian Air Force and to deepen their knowledge of the materials, equipment and tools used by the Armed Forces.
