Young participants on a journalism course visited Grazzanise military airport. They were welcomed by Colonel Maurizio Cocci, who outlined the visit's programme, aimed at familiarising them with the Wing's operational activities and mission.
Furthermore, an overview of the “Institutional Communication of the Air Force” sector was presented by the Wing's Public Information team.
After visiting the airport and the Aircraft Efficiency Group (G.E.A.), the students were introduced to the 21st Flying Group “Tigre”, where the guests were able to witness a simulation of a SAR (Search and Rescue) recovery event with AB.212 helicopters. This was followed by a meeting with the crews, a visit to the static display of vehicles and equipment of the Air Riflemen on VTML “Lince” vehicles.
The experience generated immense enthusiasm among the participants, who took the opportunity to learn more about the 9th Wing and the Italian Air Force.
