Target reached by the 46th BA transport line in Pisa, a key pillar of the logistical support for operational and humanitarian activities Since July 8, 2009, the date of the first airlift, 111 flights have been carried out for this activity, thanks to which the forces on the ground have received the necessary logistical support and have been able to integrate operational action with that of humanitarian support, fundamental to complete and expand the ongoing transition process. The results achieved so far have also been made possible thanks to the efforts of the Joint Air Task Force of Herat, the national ’joint“ air component deployed in Afghanistan, and represent an example of effective synergy between the personnel of the airlifter company of the ”Folgore“ Paratrooper Brigade and those of the Italian Air Force with the C-130J and C-27J aircraft of the 46th Air Brigade of Pisa.
