Sunday 6th March, in the Gulf of Naples, the boat ‘Sparviero’ won the sports competition for the 7th consecutive year. The activities of the crew—made up of Sub-Lieutenants Catone, Iapadre and Garbuggio, Officer Cadet Magistro and First Warrant Officer Schiavone, and ’helmed’ by Staff Sergeant Federico Chiattelli—were coordinated by the Sports Director, Major Francesco Ospite.
The championship, organised by 11 sailing clubs in Campania under the aegis of the 5th FIV (Italian Sailing Federation) zone, once again confirmed the validity of a complementary discipline carried out by the Aeronautica Academy aimed at enhancing the conditional capabilities of young cadets.
