Handover of the delivery to the Polivalente Logistic Center in Guidonia
During his speech, Colonel Di Resta wanted to emphasize the feelings he experienced at the time he was tasked with reorganizing the entities of the 2nd Logistics Command Division, and, among them, the 1st Central Depot in Monterotondo, having spent time in that last entity, ” …various, beautiful and intense years…”.
He also emphasized that the creation of the Multifunctional Logistics Center was necessary to give new dignity and a new future to the Agency by expanding its mission and relocating the headquarters to a base where it could be hosted in a more dignified manner, making it more suitable to face the changing logistics scenarios. Colonel Giorgio Di Zenzo, in turn, after thanking the Higher Authorities, wished to represent his “pride”In taking on the position of Commander of the Multi-Purpose Logistics Center, I am fully aware that I am assuming a function and a role of absolute sensitivity and importance in a reality that is certainly complex, but at the same time, stimulating and with potential for development and extremely important synergies.
General Ciardelli, during his speech, emphasized that the Multi-Purpose Logistics Center “is called upon to provide continuity with what is already in place in Monterotondo and here in Guidonia, bringing the necessary innovation with renewed enthusiasm.”.
He also thanked Colonel Di Resta and all the staff for the commitment shown during the delicate phases that characterized the establishment of the new entity.
