On Wednesday 19 September, at the headquarters of the 32nd Flight of Amendola (FG), the handover ceremony for the Command of the Group of Aircraft Efficiency (G.E.A.) took place.
In his farewell speech, the outgoing Commander thanked his staff for the attention, professionalism, and sense of belonging to the Group they demonstrated, praising them for the important results achieved; he also paid a fitting tribute and a special greeting to those who were unable to be present at the Efficienza Aeromobili Group because they were engaged in Afghanistan, contributing every day to enhancing the prestige of Italy and the Italian Air Force.
The outgoing Commander, who will be taking up a position at the EFA Technical Engineering Division of the NATO NETMA Agency – Munich, has finally wished the best for the important and delicate assignment he has just assumed to his fellow colleague who, in the last year, held the position of Head of Operations Office of the Stormo. The Aeromobili Efficiency Group ensures the constant efficiency of the AM-X, AM-X(T) and MB-339 aircraft assigned to the Department, the related onboard systems, components, flight and emergency equipment, and ground support equipment, in order to enable the Flight Groups and the Collegamenti Squadron to carry out the planned operational and training activities.
